Insights into the Journey of ACIM – January 9, 2015 – Lesson 8

My Mind is preoccupied with past thoughts.

Freedom from past thoughts.

We see the past because our mind is preoccupied. A fellow blogger had commented on this in a couple of posts. About living in the now, so I find this relevant. So many of us live in the past and we don’t even realize it.

The mind’s preoccupation with the past is the cause of the misconception about time from which your seeing suffers.

Watch a child. Truly I am so blessed to still have young children around me to see this. A child as they develop sees. They see things for the first time. Watch a child before they reach the stage of object permanence. They see a new every time. This is how we can view time. But we must realize that what prevents it is not there. So that we can move past it. What blocks us is only the thought. This is changeable.

The thing is, when we are preoccupied with past thoughts, we are NOT in the present. When we react or respond to past thoughts or projection of them we are now right there in the past.

I just watched a fb thing transpire. On a weather site. One person became two, casting judgement on perceived interpretation of a video posted. And all based on something that is already past and  projecting events that weren’t real. And then feelings got hurt. And I did fall into it in a partisan capacity, and realized it and thought about it. If nothing else these exercises make one think and want to stop the insanity, Thank you God for the learning vehicle of time. See doing it again, i’m already thinking about past thoughts…gah… LOL

We are blessed! Give to receive! Love is all there is.
